2016 gratitude challenge: making & keeping a gratitude journal

December 29, 2015.Sophia D. White

As I reflect on 2015, I have to say it’s been a great year. Nonetheless, If I can change anything about 2015, it would be to be more present. It seems like I am  always in “what’s next” or “planning for that” or “I got to do that better tomorrow” mode. As if I was driving on autopilot, I blinked and 2015 was almost gone! While I have accomplished much this year,  I don’t want to be the type of woman who is always looking for the bigger-better-deal. I want to be the type of woman who is a joy to be around because she is present. She isn’t distracted or overthinking. She is glowing with gratitude.

I’ve decided to keep a daily gratitude journal to help me be more appreciative of what I have. The journal will also be visible proof that God is continually blessing.

We shared our hopes for 2016 until our journals were completed. I’m no “artiste” but I was most definitely pleased with the finish product.
